Welcome to the portfolio of Federico Buchbinder, an Argentina-born photographer living in Manitoba, Canada.

I take photos for the simple pleasure of creating imagery. The countryside is omnipresent in my work. I have a unique fascination for abandoned rural buildings, their textures and their minute details; I record the stories whispered by their silence, their aging and their decay.

My photography has been used or published by the National Geographic Society, Rhubarb Magazine, the American Museum of Natural History, The Weather Network, and the Winnipeg Sun (among others), and has received awards from the Foto Club Buenos Aires and the Neepawa Lily Festival.

Selected photos are on display at the Fishfly Art Gallery in Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba.
